Isaac is a Montreal-based pianist and music educator. An alumnus of the McGill University Jazz Program and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) certificate program, he dedicates over a decade's worth of expertise in pedagogy, performance, and composition into equipping the next generation of musicians with a structured, versatile approach to modern music education.

With over a decade of experience as a piano teacher, Isaac has established a distinguished practice specializing in the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) certificate program. He is also recognized for his ability to transition traditional players into the world of jazz. His approach focuses on demystifying complex jazz concepts for beginners, providing them with the structured foundation needed to navigate improvisation and jazz theory.As an active performer in the Montreal music scene, Isaac serves as a collaborator and keyboardist for the Montreal-based yacht-rock duo Rapallo. The group has garnered significant international attention, with over 1.3 million listens across all streaming platforms.Isaac has worked as a composer on a number of projects, including David Lawson's sci-fi short film "GOV.OS". The film won several film-festival awards and received an honourable mention at the 2023 International New York Film Awards.

About

A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Isaac began classical piano studies at age seven. He placed third in the Ontario Music Festivals Association, and in 2012 he earned his RCM Level 10 Piano with first-class honours under the tutelage of Peter Mackinnon. In high school, he discovered a deep passion for jazz, which led him to pursue advanced studies at the Schulich School of Music in Montreal.
Isaac graduated from McGill University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Piano, having studied under distinguished musicians including Josh Rager and Jeff Johnston. He has since been active as both a professional musician and a dedicated piano teacher in Montreal.
